Wiring diagram navigation skills are critical to diagnosing and repairing today’s vehicle in a timely and accurate manner. No matter which information system you use, you should be familiar with its format. You should have complete confidence in using your information system, as well as knowing how to navigate and locatethe wiring schematics for the vehicle you are working on. Essentially, we have two ways to analyze electrical schematics, we can use aftermarket wiring diagrams, or the OE wiring diagrams. This seminar will focus on utilizing the OE wiring diagrams used by many of the Asian manufacturers:

WE WILL COVER:

§ Utilize Asian OEM schematics and support material to effectively diagnose electrical problems

§ Explain unique features of Asian OEM system and understand global format wiring

§ Combine advanced testing techniques with OE information to isolate problem areas

§ Practice pre-planning using wiring schematics and symptom descriptions

NOTE: This course is not intended to instruct the technician how the electrical systems function on a vehicle. Providing the technician has a good fundamental understanding of electrical theory, this course will introduce the skills necessary to read and interpret original equipment (OE) wiring diagrams on any vehicle platforms using them.
